I can't seem to find the TDC mark anywhere for the crank on this engine.
Been trawling forums for answers, but to no avail.
Any ideas how I can set the crank to TDC?

Thanks Martin!
Twas indeed on the bottom of the gearbox.
Incidentally, I had a hell of a job finding any information about the correct locking tool for the crank, so I made my own out of a bit of pipe, and the pulley of my old water pump.
I'm sure there's other ways around it, but this worked a treat for me, at minimal expense.
Here's some images which hopefully give you the gist of how it worked.

I just use a the flat and of a crow bar in the teeth of the flywheel through the inspection hole, works a charm. That crank bolt has to be done mighty tight though doesn't it! Did you use a new bolt too?

That's a handy way around it also Martin.
Yeah, my timing kit came with all the torque settings for the bolts. It said to torque the crank bolt to 160Nm, and then another 180 degree's.
I accidentally torqued it to 180Nm, and couldn't get it to move another millimetre afterwards, even though I was basically swinging off a big bar! (I reckon it's not going anywhere though lol)
I didn't use a new bolt, no. Is this highly recommended?
