Hi, I've been thinking of doing an LPG conversion to my 740 which is using a B200E engine which is direct injection. Does anyone have a info on whether this should take a single or 4 injectors?

No ECU iirc lol
Nope, no ECU.
Single point mixer job. No injectors.Very simple system.
Is it a saloon or estate?
Hi thank you. The car is an estate so plenty of room for a tank.
Where is the injector supposed to be placed?

To keep the load space a vertical tank is the best bet. You can also stick a small cyliner at the side but it is a bit small. There is the Dutch method that involves changing the back box and cutting out the boot floor. Last option is to ruin load space and stick a bit cylinder in behind teh back seats. If bolting to the floor you need to use spacer tubes as the wood floor has a gap between that and the steel.
No injector, just a mixer. Two ways 1) mixer on the TB but in doing that you then need to fit a door opener. Op2) is direct to the MAF. Also not a bad idea to fit a pop off valve into the manifold
