I'm curently running 235/40 17 RS-R's on my 8J rims with KW coilovers.
I need 'good' road tyres and was thinking of going 225/45 17 as the choice is greater over the other size.
Is anyone running 225/45 17 on their 850?
Thanks

I used to run Avons on my 850 with Volans , no issues with rubbing ( lowered slightly )
Also had them on 17 x 8 Team Dynamic alloys ( Toyos ) on my saloon and that had KW Varient 2s on it
I am.
Currently on Thors, they rubbed like mad on the rear inner arches.
Spaced out about 10mm I think and no rubbing at all now.
Standard ride height, but I drive it like I stole it, usually on two wheels with a boot full of tools
No worries mate, they're on the 850TDi now.
They rubbed MUCH worse on that, hence the spacers. For some reason they only rubbed on the S70 when pulling onto my drive.
But bizarrely, my 18" Peg reps don't rub at all on the S70. Well, not at the back anyway!
So to clarify is this on 225/45 17?
I did for a few months, slight rubbing on full lock, but this was prob down to stops worn, but no rubbing whilst moving and my car is quite low.
As above, but mine was low too. Spacers would have sorted it out. Cheers, Morgan
I do on mine aswell no rubbing on the rear but slight rubbing on the front on full lock
Thaks Chaps, I'll report back when I've made a decision.
i got 225/45/17's on my 850 on propus 7.5J wheels. yeah ever so slight rub if you go fully locked. and mine does scrape but bradford roads are awful. and my suspention setup atm is slightly on the soft side for comfort. with some actual deacent springs n shockers under i doubt itd rub as much =)
The Scrapyard Saved 740
Yeah.
(although now doubting myself!)
No rubbing on the rear once spaced, but rub on full lock at the front.
Could solve with either lock stops or a slight spacing on the front too I suppose.
I like the way it sits though now, all four wheels seem to sit "right" rather than the rears being tucked in as usual on 850/P1s.
