Looks stunning mate. Great progress. I wouldn't bother with the egg crate and would get a new standard waterfall grille as you suggested.
Grey 855R Manual. Totally standard.

Picked up a T5R interior (front and rear seats, armrest and door pads) alittle while ago, its not in mint condition but its perfect for my needs. I wasn't able to check the operation of them at the time but was fortunate to be able to rob some wiring and conduit.
Got home, powered them up and all working apart from the passenger backrest and passenger heated seat.
This is why the backrest doesn't work, not enough cable showing.
Cable fixed and putting seat back together.
Heres the problem.
Seat nearly back together.
Wiring nearly done now (both sides), inline spliced, soldered and then heat shrinked.

Quality work both my 850 driver seats have stopped working just the same, luckily they are where I want them but is that fix doable without taking the seats out?

It could be done if you had no choice but personally i would always remove the seat as its something you'll want to take your time with and be comfortable. With yours being the drivers seat that makes it more difficult as you can't flip it forward to remove the hog rings at the bottom of the backrest.
Impressive improvements, nice work

Great work Simon, I'm loving this new found love for an old flame

Evaporator will most likely have started evaporating by now and if your contemplating recommissioning the a/c then I would advise you do it, in for a penny in for a pound eh?
Might also be worth contemplating the replacement of the condensor whilst you're there..
Excellent work Simon this car is a real credit to all your hard work as she certainly looks lovely in the flesh!!
Thanks James, slowly getting the hang of car maintance .

Still couldn't get the heated seat going after repairing the pad so left it and came back and noticed its had the recall done (after reasearching) and still has the old loom and stat still in place which is what i hooked the pads up to not knowing what the recall consisted of.
Since fitting a V70 tailgate everytime the brake pedal is pressed the bulb failure light comes on, so finally got round to swapping the lamp control module for a V70 one.
Had to get another under bonnet insulation panel.
After some tidying up.
Heavy duty lower arms.
Revs starting to hang and didn't idle as it should so had a clean up which fixed it.

Good to see that you've finally fitted the bulb control module from the V70, I can't believe you left it so long. Will be odd not having the dash remind you that you've braked.. Lol
Sound deadening looks spot on, for some reason I thought you'd removed the original one.
Good to hear a nice clean up as cured your revs hanging.
You should get some poly bushes for those lower arms before you fit them, you won't regret it
Your definitely really into the car and a petrolhead if you've been out tinkering with the car this close to Christmas

It started to become the norm having the failure light come on and if the truth be told I didn't actually know how to fix it, all I knew is theres a box in the boot that needs changing.
I did indeed bin the original, I kept it for a while and even when I binned I knew I'd end up refitting lol.
Other than an oil change which I'm doing tomorrow, an air con pump, regas and tyres I have to stop spending on the car now as we need to save for our trip to Gib in May/June.
