Duncan's T5 impressed me, it's got over 200K on the clock, it's basically the same age and spec as mine yet it ran nearly 265bhp on the rollers. It's fitted with the Jetex Sports Exhaust.

It was a useful bench mark for me!

Pity you couldn't have come along Ian, we could have had a chat and I could have seen your S60R which you've been working on. There'll be some more RR days at some point so hopefully you can make those.

By the way, did anyone see how much my front camber went off on a tangent when the car was strapped down? I know Jamest5r noticed, Hamish as well. Strut tops mounts are only 2 years old yet they're knackered already so they want changing.

think jamest5r and a few others pointed out to me how worn my engine mounts were on the day, the fact the engine was moving about a foot when you left off load. so i decided to do a quick inspection of the mounts, see whats going on. diagnoisis? Every single mount rodgered XD

so were those volvo orginals that you fitted James or uprated HD items, either way 2 years and they need replacing

Looking forward to seeing how the gul drives with every mounting and bush been replaced it does seem a item a few people forget about

James, was it the mounts? When fitting shocks to the stub axle.. *Ahem* hub assembly, it's easy to get about 3 degrees of camber either way, just from the "slop" in the bolts and their holes. Worth checking on a hunter system before you go stripping it all down again and spending more money.

I've been watching the video of his runs and I think he needs to have a look at his wishbone bushes - the wheels shot forward by about 2-3" every time Hamish hit the loud pedal! Scary!

Trust me Martin, they're totally knackered. I can't take a roundabout or drive through Morrisons car park without the whole front end squeaking, plus the top of the strut where the top nut goes is actually poking through far more than it should. It's most likely the spring seat rubbers that have perished, but I'll be replacing the bearings and spring seats too.

I want some PU ones but to my shock, no one makes them! (A business opportunity I think). I'll opt for XC-90 parts or uprated ones where possible.

Great day on Saturday a big well done to all the guys who organised it.
It was very good to meet you all have a chat and see so many nice cars there
Pleased to get the numbers it did on the day and already have the bushes to go on but now I am thinking of getting it all poly bushed.
Are there any kits out there you can buy with everything in?
