if it is a head gasket issue then how could that be human error?? not being funny im genuinely curious why people are quick to point fingers when it could be down to a number of things!!

Just finished my head gasket last week 1k ago, I had a very small leak into the water jacket on number 5, was getting steam out of the exhaust and air bubbling into the heater matrix when blipping the throttle as this is feed from the end of the liner area
good luck with it............

well, tonight i undone the 12 head bolts and what i did notice is that they wasn't all the same tightness at all some were alot tighter than others, everything is off and loose now, all i have to do tomorrow is pry the manifold back off the studs and its ready for lifting off
You might as well pull the head off to see wear its blown if it has blown.
s60 2.4 t5 eibach springs,up rated rear anti roll bar, poly bushed wishbones, poly lower engine mount, fmic, bmc air filter, 3" decat, 2.5" stainless exhaust, hlm remap 328bhp,
Volvo head gaskets are more than up to the job even on highly tuned cars. The problem here isn't a bad gasket or too much boost, it's changing the MAF. You can't just fit a 3inch MAF without a custom map too suit. The MAF will under read airflow drastically due the increased surface area. It will run lean and without a custom map it's no better than saturating a stock MAF.
Grey 855R Manual. Totally standard.
