My 04 S60 had to have the ECU removed and placed on the bench for the ECU to be mapped.....
Motorsport Developments in Blackpool.
mines a 56 plate one will it have to have it removed , I know pluging in to car with other snap on diag unit plays things up found out hard way yesterday when tried to turn day lights off , could see module but could talk to it then hole can bus crashed had to disconnect battery for few min so car would start again
To be honest - I don't know. The majority of people you speak to say that they're mapped through the OBDII port, but mine was removed and mapped using a device on their bench. Hand on heart - I'm not entirely happy with the map/results and will be looking at getting another in a few months, this time by one of the 'Forums' tried & tested mappers.
not a t5 I wish could run one , to thirsty for me its a d5 mate sorry to say but its my second one , had t4 before I went on to d5

I thought the same, checked the hoses I can see and nothing. I dropped the front engine cover down and looked up at the intercooler suspecting a leak - clean as a whistle. No signs of a leak at all & it drives smooth without any hesitancy under boost. I think it just the map tbh - especially after the dyno session.
go to hlm. ask for a go of his d5. he remaped my t5 and im happy with it
Had my 2003 S60 D5 53,000 MILES Rica remapped ,what a difference.peter
