    previous owners mods

right then got a query, my new purchase has got an odd mod,it's got a massive rip kit on it ,and I've got a spare dump valve which I thought I'd fit, looking round the back of the engine you can see a forge blanking plate on the recirculating dv, but the pipes still on and now goes to the boost solenoid, the original pipe from the inlet is blocked off! surely with no dump valve at all there's the risk of turbo stall?? can't seem to get my head round what they've done, any ideas anyone?.

Are you sure it's not a forge recirc valve?

even if it was an aftermarket recirc valve it shouldn't be plumbed to the boost control solenoid, they all plumb to the inley manifold

as for turbo stall, our turbo's are too small & run such low boost levels its not going to be a problem (i don't have a recirc or dump valve on my 19t)

I thought that but it's very slim, and looks like a forge blanking plate, the pipe work baffles me to..I wonder if someone's put a different rate spring in,do forge do that kind of thing??

Whip it off and chuck a blanking plate on, I think Greamewelch is doing them again and theyre cheaper than a new recirc...
