Seriously, i think you'll have to beat andys fastest time for an auto to beat me, think i'll be in the mid 14s.

So if you can manage to beat 14.4, then you'll beat me.

I'd be over the moon with a 14 flat, but i doubt its that quick, its just too damn heavy.

From what i'v read of people that have done it, standard e39 540s are mid 14s. Some say they can do low 14s, but who knows...... guess we'll find out sunday.

I have to point out again, as mine is the vanos 4.4 it has 325lb/ft, not 310. That extra 15lb/ft makes all the difference. lol

I reckon it'll be horrible off boost, the R's bad enough, and that's got 2 1/2 times the cc.

the 1.0L has had amazing reviews as a total game changer

Mainly cause it has so little lag.

As for the 540 - 14.0@101.7 - in ideal conditions.

Bear in mind a STOCK S40 T5 gets 15 flat at 98mph under ideal test conditions!

1 second is a long time on the 1/4mile.

Actually i find this funny, noone seemed interested in my fat german car before. But now someones posted something that says it may be able to do the 1/4 mile in 14 flat, people seem to be more interested. lol

Mid 14s is what i think it'll do. 1710kg is too heavy for it to do any better.

I have shorter gear ratios and a better power curve.

You going to wreck you box by powerstarting?

1/4 will always heavily favour RWD cars - do the rolling GPS 30-130 run and things could be very different.

Frankie it's usually smarter to gloat AFTER you've beaten someone.

    Not before

    I'd love a 30-130 run against a 4spd auto. lol

they tend to slow down a bit once past 100mph, but frakie does have a 19t so should be a lot better than the normal ones at those speeds.
