    Dyno results.

Well as you know had my car dyno'd today. Had a few problems, namely the actuator is too weak and would only hold 1.35bar. New actuator being ordered tonight!!!

Still, my results were 285bhp and 318lb/ft. Goes pretty well and fuels pretty well on the stock map. He said I could make 20bhp or so more at the same boost with a map to alter timing but is it worth the extra £600+?. Graphs to follow shortly. Car goes very well and the dyno operator was shocked at the power the grandad Volvos put out lol

Will turn the boost up and have it retested next month.

Haha, yeah its great to drive. Bit wooly on the standard shocks but handle ok. Brakes a pretty good stock too. Before I knew about the T4's I though they were like an underpowered T5. Then I drove a standard one and thought, 'f@ck me this thing is rapid' lol

Nice work. I've been driving a stock T4 this week - yours must fly!

I'v said for ages and that they are faster than people think because of the weight advantage over the t5s.

Sure the judge has seen sub 15s on the 1/4mile and his is virtually standard, none of the 850s, s/v/c70s can do that.

Yours must be pretty damn quick now, look forward to seeing it progress.

Thanks mate, it's defo a work in progress. I want to see what I can squeeze from this dinky Holset and a stock map. Will have to wait a lil while tho as funds are low! Yeah I think the T4s are very under estimated. I think they handle far better than the 850s and 70s too. And they cost peanuts!

I would mate but it's a fair old way to go to risk Hamish telling me to do one. Have few issues to sort too. Down pipe flange is leaking and actuator weak. And I'm working doh. I think I've proved a point that a diesel turbo will work on a petrol Volvo. Not that I needed to. Been done many times!!

Cheaper to run to, better mpg, cheaper insurance, easier on tyres and brakes (although i doubt yours is easy on tyres!! lol).

    Alround great little cars.
