    VES Sport remap

Has anybody heard of or used VES Sport remaps? I've found a place round the corner from me that does custom maps at a seemingly good price £240.

PLEASE NOTE I don't want this thread to turn into a "who's map is best" bunfight I'm just after opinions on this brand.

    Thanks lads

does the place have a rolling road to show before and after gains in torque and power.also showing the afrs and boost .im just saying thats all because for 300 pounds you will get a map and fully checked over too.and if you do it on the charity day some of that price goes to charity too.its a good price but seems cheap for a proper custom map mate.

Agreed and no there's no RR on site. Apparantly, they take a copy of your current map and send it to some boffins in Dunblane who build the new map and send it back for uploading to the car. I've also heard of even cheaper remaps that come with RR before and after but it's a long - ass drive.
The way things are going, I doubt I could afford the HLM remap, and there's a chance that I may not even make the charity RR day .

It's all about the money at the mo, or lack of.

Martin - they will not be able to tune through the serial port hun, they will be breaking open your ecu. Our map is £300 inc a dyno, much much better value.

They recon they can do it through the OBD port but I immediately got suspicious when he said they didn't have rollers and didn't know of any in the area?!
I know your map will be the muts doo-dahs (autotecnik iirc) but with funds looking the way they are, I'm just looking at options. I'm still hoping to get to the charity RR but as for the remap... not looking good.

The extra 50 quid isn't much of a problem, it's the 100 quid in fuel getting to your place lol

Go on mart, just get it done mate, After you have it done you will wonder why you didnt get it done quicker before.

And hey after a remap if you drive carefully you will get to save that extra £50 in petrol lol as it will be more fuel efficiant lol

I wouldn't recommend the cheaper map, I had problems with someone just 'sticking' a map on with no RR to test. HLM map has been peachy since I've had it

I hear you about clutch and DMF, I'm saving to get that done... circa £750 all in.

Yea I've been trying to get a good price as £1,000+ makes my eyes water.

Clutch - £100 (got from ebay, genuine part new)
    DMF - £368 (LUK)
Slave Cylinder - £94 (From Volvo)
    Flywheel bolts - £12
    Labour - £200 (Tim Williams)

Closer to £800 when you add in fluids and the rear main oil seal. I'd be coming to you Hamish but as you can see Tim is doing a good price
