If you just have the 14t hybrid then then you should be fine as long as you get bigger injectors, as a few have said, the normal injectors are almost maxed on the standard 14t at 230bhp.
As long as the rest of your car is good, then you shouldn't need much else.
Problems could happen if, for example, your standard intercooler, fuel pump, leads, boost hoses, etc (which are up to the job when brand new), are on the way out.

going for a hybrid does not mean you have to run bigger injectors it all depends what boost you want to run.but i think that the standard injectors are 312 cc so you can normally go 30 percent bigger something like me7 blues would put you up to 350cc on a 3 bar fpr.im fitting the same hybrid to my mates t4 and he wants to run 1.4 bar so he might be using my vxr injectors witch are 470cc.but we will be able to confirm this when we put it on the rollers if we need injectors or not.i have 630cc injectors for my 940 so i will be selling the vxr 470cc injectors.

its not all about high boost mate it the way the car drives and also the t5s run a different ecu system .im not saying dont put bigger injectors in im saying check the afrs before you do.because the hydrid im talking about is not a massive turbo ,it will just push abit more air at the same rpm .as said before depends on boost he will run.also slightly bigger injectors are very cheap like 50 pounds for me7 blues, witch i ran in my 940 at 19 psi on a t35 and the fueling was spot on.

I know what you mean but i look at it like this - going down this route you would be running similar power to a vxr but you would be using much smaller injectors to fuel it.
We'll know for sure, when you do your mates car as i'm just going on theory and what other people have said.

I have a t4 turbo body.It boosted really well on my t4,it has some play nothing heavy and it didnt smoke.
I said a 10 second car not a 10 minute car
So, price wise what are we looking at? If its going to be easier going down the recon route for a 14t rather than a hybrid then I may just do that. While I see the benefits of upgrading if it then means more expense on the injectors plus upgrading all bits and pieces just for an additional 30hp then is it worth the extra moolah in the long run? Personally I am more interested in getting to 70,80,90 than all out top speed.
Also I seen some 440cc bosch greens for £40 a pop
