Chucked some more oil in, cranked her with king lead off for a bit.

Checked all leads, dizzy cap, maf leads !

Connected it all back, then cranked here again. After sometime it started !

Went for a drive, but when you hit the throttle, there is a half second delay (maybe less ) before it revs, from a tick over state ?

    Gets better once warm !

Could this be something failing soon ?

    Cheers

Is she old enough to have the original Volvo RIP fitted as standard?
They were allegedly prone to icing which would give simiar symptoms, but surely not on start up.??

    Gotta love these old birds.
Went to Ikea today in my ' 96 855 - an oven, hob, sink, some units and Mrs Woz all jam packed in and she still pulled like a train. (Had to go back for the three worktops though or make Mrs W walk home :>(

btw the car is the old bird not Mrs W who may be reading this. Obviously!

It "could " be a MAF sensor - try disconnecting it see if tmakes any difference. when mine went it just would not go above 3000 rpm or light throttle making driving not as much fun as usual.
Ran better with the thing disconnected until the new one arrived.
