    Heeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!

Started the clutch change today, And things weren't going too bad.
That was until I was undoing the top gearbox bolts, And thought "Where's this fluid coming from?" Bloody Clutch pipe under the battery tray has rotted through (Good job it went here and not the middle of France) I've ordered one from Kastners in Exeter (Only because it's quicker, £45!)

How does it come apart from by the ABS pump? I don't want to break any more.

Thats what I thought too pedro, goes to the clutch master cylinder just down to the right of the servo.

A local motor factor should be able to make up a length of pipe, I had to do that on my old 940, a few quid for a length of pipe made to measure, bend it yourself and slot it in

No I meant there's a joint under the ABS, Not into it. Can't really get a piece made up either as it has the joint one end and a flexi the other end just before it goes into the slave cylinder. Now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Do I change the clutch anyway, Or assume this is the problem causing the slip in the first place.

i'll be working on BT in a bit so have a look, i'd fit a 850R clutch & new rear main seal just incase. Might as well do as much as you can while the box is off

Box isn't off yet, I only got as far as getting to the top 2 bolts before I noticed the split in the clutch line. If there's air in the system it'll definately be causing the slip.
If I get the pipe fixed (Which won't be until Wednesday) And it still slips, I'll have to start all over again. If it is the problem I've got a spare clutch I can fit whenever I'm not in so much of a rush.

Thats what I would have thought. But on a mates old Nissan Silvia, We changed the clutch and didn't bleed it properly after, And it slipped.
Looks like the clutch uses the same resevoir as the brakes too.

It's a drain hole, it's supposed to be there.

Can I say that your a braver man than I am, used to do all my own mechanical work but just can't be bothered with anything major any more, maybe it's just my age creeping up on me.

Just be thankful you have got an awd with its extra gearbox attached, its bloody horrible to get to. I love a challenge though.

Come round and do mine then, I've just about had enough
I can see what I think is the last bolt holding the gearbox, Can I get to it, Can I ****.
No pit or ramp is making this a lot harder. And I still can't budge the starter.
