Hi Jim, does your central locking work fine with the key and deadlock too? but the LED on the dash wont flash at all...Ive had a look for the alarm relay and cant find one..the only thing that I can find where I think it should be is two green wires joined together with a fuse to bridge the starting circuit.

P.S ..still no luck with the software, possibly diff versions.

    alarm

Alarm relay was missing! Got one off e-bay for a tenner posted..plugged it in and the doors locked, set the ignition on and off five times and pressed the button on the remote keyfob and voila..its alive, all working as it should even the panic button and the doors close on their own if you lock and unlock the car and leave it two minutes without opening a door.

Does anyone know if I can attatch ultrasonic sensors to the existing alarm, as the relay I have put in has extra connections on the top of the unit..5 or 6 pin plug.

    cheers.

Its under the drivers side, remove the panel below the steering wheel (3 screws) and look up to the right hand side and you will see a load of relays, if you see one marked up with the numbers 210 and 211 its already there but may be faulty..but if there is only one - marked 210 ...its had the cheapo bypass relay fitted with part no:3545333 (mine was even cheaper as someone had stuck a wire between the terminals!) they vary in colour too, I was told it supposed to be a red relay with part no:9128903 but mine was black with a different number.
    Hope this helps Jim....

thanks for the info drill, pressures of work kept me away from the 'puter for a few days and i missed that auction, although i was watching it anyway!

fingers crossed i'll get a bit of time to have a look 2morro so i might be scouring ebay tomorow night!

would be nice to have the alarm although i think my remote is knackered as well as i've got the batteries held in it ok now courtesy of JackT5 who sent me a cover but the remotes making all sorts of different tones (it really sounds like it's squeaking it's last breaths!) so i'm also watching the new remotes on ebay!

    cheers for the info mate
