    6 speed into a c70 2.3

i have the chance of a 6 speed gearbox from a focus st free and any other parts from it connected to the gearbox (flywheel clutch etc). parts are from a 2008 model thats been rear ended and written off as in been broken.

will this box fit a 2000 c70? and would it benefit from a six speed box? only considering the swap as later s60's seem to have the 6 speed box and seems daft to pass up a free box when offered.
because it just had to be done

I would suspect not... as very different cars.

You'll be able to get shot of the clutch and bits on here and VOC to S40 owners tho as the parts are common between S40/C30 and the 2006>C70.

yeh you can get it to fit, i bought one for BT but because the final ratios are the same (ie 5th on the M56H is the same as 6th on the M66) i decided to sell it back on again. You will need to fabricate a new engine mount for the rear & use the Crocus/S60R clutch. The gear selector cables are different on the Crocus as well, but can be modified to get them to fit
