valve stem oil seels

how do you now when you need to get the valve stem oil seels done as me s70r is kicking out a bit of blue smoke on take of cheers

Are you sure it is the valve stem seals?

Personnally I have never known a white block to need replacement seals, even at very high mileages...

I would be looking more towards a blocked PCV or leaky seals on the turbo exhaust turbine.

its had a recon turbo from volvo and the pcv been changed but still blue smoke

you're in the same boat as me then!

the only thing i can think of, when changing the pcv the bottom hole in the block might not have been properly cleaned out.

I'm going to take off the inlet tomorrow just to check if it is blocked.
