    Upgrade from an S40 T5 to an S60 2.4 T5?

    I'm considering upgrading my wolf in sheep's clothing to a lion in sheeps clothing

    Doing some researching and costing two options:

    1 - Keep the S40 and get a max of 280-290bhp at the wheels (and we're still talking 4-6K to get there.)

    2 - Buy a minter 2.4 S60 T5, and upgrade that with the following:

    Downpipe, sports cat, stainless exhaust, New uprated FMIC, New Injectors and a Owen developments Fettled 19T Turbo with Water injection + custom MTE Map

    How much power are you guys getting at the wheels with that kind of setup on the S60 ?

    Also ... how much of that gear could i get second hand + cost ? (esp the 19T Turbo)

    My goal for the S60 would be 330bhp at the wheels with a 1/4 time of 14.0 or under - realistic without spending a kings ransom?

    Much appreciated with anyone with a similar set up can give real non corrected at the wheels dyno figures - opinions on the best option to go for also appreciated!

    Seen a number of 2.4 T5 S60 putting out around 330 crank. All depends what you want. The FMIC on the S60 is a good one as far as I know. Water injection is a waste of time IMHO - I believe on balance that the science is flawed.

    Can't argue with the 19T but the KKK on the S60 is pretty healthy.

    There is a lot to said for starting from a position of strength and the standard 260 from the 2.4 is a good starting point.

    On balance if it is raw power you desire then the late T5 S60 would be my choice - I really like what Tom has done with his.
