    Original exhaust pic???

    Strange one I know but...

Anyone got a shot of the rear of an 850 saloon or estate doesn't matter which with its original square exhaust fitted. Need it to see how it sits in the bumper cut out and how far it protrudes.

As I said yes its a strange request and as these are now getting on or replaced its going to be difficult to source but any help would be appreciated

    Andy

    Cheers for the speedy response
Tbh I would prefer a shot with the original square pipe fitted.

For those wondering it's because I have the Ferrita system with the round tip and I am not 100 percent sold on the round trim now it's fitted on my 850. So wanted a more original look and have managed to source a stainless steel square trim which I will have retro fitted to the Ferrita system. The reason I want the pictures is to try and get it positioned as close to the original fitting as possible and not sticking out too far so thought a few shots of the original would help when fitting. A bit sad but I am a little OCD when it comes to things like this lol!

I dont think they are square more oval, but from some angels they do look square.

The new volvo has the same exhaust BUT it sticks out quite a bit.

    Quick google

No they were originally square and the one originally on mine was but when I bought the car I had it trailered directly to a Volvo garage so never got any close up shots of the exhaust can only go by memory and a few shots which aren't that clear as the exhaust trim was quite badly corroded. When I had Volvo renew the trim prior to any ideas of fitting the Ferrita they said that the square trim had been discontinued and replaced with the oval one found on the later car's. So had that fitted instead and going by the fitment of that the exhaust trim by the pic's I have it fits quite closely to the lower part of the bumper.

I'm sure mine still has the square exhaust on it, I'll get some pics taken tomorrow for you (as long as no-one has beaten me to it)

As promised, this is my exhaust that has been on since new (as fare as I know). Don't worry there is a nice new S/S Jetex cat-back sitting on the rear seats waiting to be fitted.

    Hope this helps!
