personally have a manual, but would assume sports mode so u can get a reading across more of the rev range.
I put mine in 3 & sports mode
Hiya,
as I remember, same settings as Yosser the 3 times I've had mine dyno'd.

You want to try and prevent it from kicking down under throttle so Sport mode is no good.
Stick it in Winter mode so it starts in third and then lock it in 3 for the best results.

does winter mode not curtail the boost?
cant say it does on mine.

Just had a quick look over on Volvospeed, and quite a few people there also say to use winter mode too.
Thanks for the reply's guy's, I'll try both methods and let you know!!
where you going for the dino
I just leave mine in drive, although i have gaytronic so i dont have a sport mode. Dont think it really matters does it ? seeing as BHP is simply a function of torque and rpm, the engine will produce the same torque at the same rpm no matter what gear you are in.
When mine was dyno'd at HLM it hit about 130 mph iirc, no way your going to do that in 3rd !!
