    Hi all!

Just a quick question to those of you that have an Auto T5, What settings were your gearboxes placed into before carrying out a dyno run??

    cheers

personally have a manual, but would assume sports mode so u can get a reading across more of the rev range.

You want to try and prevent it from kicking down under throttle so Sport mode is no good.

Stick it in Winter mode so it starts in third and then lock it in 3 for the best results.

Just had a quick look over on Volvospeed, and quite a few people there also say to use winter mode too.

I just leave mine in drive, although i have gaytronic so i dont have a sport mode. Dont think it really matters does it ? seeing as BHP is simply a function of torque and rpm, the engine will produce the same torque at the same rpm no matter what gear you are in.

When mine was dyno'd at HLM it hit about 130 mph iirc, no way your going to do that in 3rd !!
