1.4 bar max.
Adam.
That's 20.31psi - that's a lot of boost!
S60 T5 in Black/Dirt
ITG Filter, few HICO styling bits.
'STILL Considering' the RICA.
Not much else, yet...
hot damn!!
traction is a problem at 14psi
thanks for the replys
woohooooo!!!
At the risk of bucking the trend - remember the higher the boost the greater the chance of rods bending. Be safe - keep it as low as you can but high enough to have a thrill.Originally Posted by TwistedSanity

1.4bar is safe on an unmapped engine?
i know you're the guy's in the know, but using an mbc to get 1.4 is risky imo.
boost is going to come in early and he will probably bend a rod.
I never said it was recommended or safe. The question was what is the max boost before the engine breaks, which is 1.4 bar. Any more and the rods will go a funny shape.
Adam.
mine boosts at 0.9 and holds strong andis completely standard,so hopefully the rica will be even more awesome!Originally Posted by Andrew

i dont need anywhere near that much boost, puts the willys up me as it is!!
ive got an electronic boost controller so i can control when the boost comes in, ive got the nitrous half installed as well, not that ill need it, 14 psi turned up just 10% feels pretty quick
Warning noob question ! Is it possible to fit an MBC to an engine after 1999 (2002 for me)
