Once again, Volvo Tuning have put a smile on my face.

This morning i picked up my car and will be running it in for about 1500 miles, on a detuned to 270 whp setup on a nice low lost, specially at the lower revs.

Upon the starting of it i noticed that my car was purring at me with a lovely tone, cant wait for it to be finished so i can hear it on full boost and throttle..

I'm gonna be driving it everywhere next week, just to get the miles on so that i can see its true potential.

Now i just have the wedding to worry about lol

Just a little work.

Hamish has kindly put some uprated spm (i think thats what they are) con rods in my engine. With my already existing 19T conversion i wanted to assure that it will get the full potential and be safe. THEN it gives me a nice strong base for a nice bigger turn later down the road. As my engine has just had its weak point uprated. With the ones that are in there now they will withstand anything we can chuck at it..

Ian - have a great day today, looks like the weather will hold up for you! as Adam has already said, take it easy and bring it back in a couple of weeks. Sorry it took so long, but hopefully the finish product is going to be awsome!!!

Changing the subject slightly, as i am looking at tuning my standard 855 T5 very soon in the future, remaps, maybe turbo etc, how much does it cost for supply only of the new steel con rods.

My car runs 8-10psi at mo standard no MBC, when I do slight rolling starts (auto box) from junctions front wheels spin and bounce all over the place boost rises or spikes to 16psi during launch.

Want to upgrade car so i can have more boost with out risk of bending rods, already blown a head gasket due to head bolts stretching , therfore coming un done.

More info on rods would be appreciated.

if i were you mate, i would give vt a call, but from what you said, i recommend a rica 310 upgrade. its controlled excellently, improves mpg and is safe.

head bolts are supposed to strech, thats why they are strech bolts. (but only on install)

Wedding was lovely thank you, went really well. Very happy.

Car is running very well, spoke to Adam this morning as i've just done 500 miles using below 3k, now im going to add a bit more to get it used to running with boost, obviously driving carefully and now flooring it..

SOUNDS LOVELY!!!
