    MBC installed, Wastegate mod?

    Good day

I am very happy with the results after installing a TurboXS MBC, theres a noticiable improvement in performance.

Now, Is it true that I have to loosen the wastegate actuator rod in order to prevent spikes? Mine seems a little tight.

    Thanks in advance

what does the guage say? Does it spike on teh guage, how much?

I doubt adjusting the wastegate actuator rod would alter anything, it doesnt "see" anything until the MBC opens anyway (Turbo XS is a spring and ball yes? not a bleed valve? )

What you do want to do is to make sure the actual MBC is as close to the actuator as possible, this will reduce any spiking to a minimum, but it shouldnt go much more than 1 or 2psi over the set limit I wouldnt think, the Rover always spiked to 20 and held 18.

Still Volvo links though as my wife has a V50 R design sport and a mildly fettled T4
