Ty-Croes(Anglesey) Track April 2006

Just a quick note to let you know I'm planning to do a track day at the Anglesey circuit in April 2006. It will be an open event probably using a company called TrackAction. Anyone who would consider going would be advised to book early....

They have No confirmed dates have been published yet but I've sent an E-mail to the organisers to try and get the planned dates to see if I can get a block booking since, so far I have 5 friends who what to go on the same day ...(Skyline/Primera/Alfa 155/Vectra GSI/Calibra turbo...and Me)...

I'm sure one or two more may like to join in.... Access to the site would be free to anyone to viewing and from the top you can see almost all of the track...

what sort of price does it cost? Never done a track day but I do quite like the look of anglesey circuit!

Ty-Croes is one of the cheapest offical Race track in the country. But for a full access as in Open pit day it will cost between £99.00 to £150. Depending on when and which company is running the day...

Plus you've got to consider the wear to the tyres, Petrol, where your gonna stay...
Depending on how many turn up I can put up a few people...

Yes, it is. Been once; found it a bit short for the Volvo. Try Oulton Park if you get a chance, it's great.

The first company that has responded so far is a company called - CIRCUIT DAYS.

They have offered "THURSDAY 27th APRIL 2006" standard cost £109 -open pit lane....

A few notes to consider :
Free Additional Drivers and passengers (max 4)
Free High speed passenger laps in their Caterham R300

I'll post up other dates/options as they arise.......

I know that I can confirm about 6 of my local friends and now a few on here (Skyline/Alfa/Calibra..etc) so I've just asked for a block booking discount...

And remember it's free access to the track for all thoughs who are wimps and just want to watch..........so come over for the weekend...

I can help with certain accomodation requirements and will post up any info as I get it....

I'm still awaiting other date options.. suppose the christmas holidays are getting in the way of e-mails...
I think a final decision will need to be made by Mid Jan for everyone to find accomodation/tyres/book time off (unless your the boss) etc...

PS - sorry to disappoint - but I think that nearly all track days are during the week so you'll probably need to take time off to attend....

Just had an E-mail from a company called - BookaTrack.com.

They have offered "SATURDAY 15th APRIL 2006" standard cost £145 -20min sessions -Driver split Novice/intermediate/advanced (not - open pit lane)....

A few notes to consider :
more expensive than Circuit days because its a weekend...
ARDS instruction ar £20 for 20mins in your car
They have cars you can hire for the full day..

So now you've a choice of :
Saturday 15th April 2006 - Sessions - £145
Thursday 27th April 2006 - open pit - £109

There's a few mates from work interested including one girl with a mini cooper s that I'm dying to try (the car not the girl before the comments start).

Weekday would be better, we'll call it erm..a team event!
