This stuff is really good n gets the bumpers back to a very smooth original looking finish, it's also permenant and can be applied as many times as you wish to keep improving the look of the bumpers. Be warned tho u must mask up the bodywork as it can mark, especially if it's white or light paintwork! I'll post pic's of my car as soon as I'm happy with the rest of it and the wheels r on etc.
If what ur after is a super smooth original finish, you really wanna try this gear! The photo does it little justice bearing in mind I've simply washed the car and dried the bumper off, done for life, good as new...simple

    Nice one T5SLAVE

    This is the stuff:

    http://www.wurth.co.uk/catalogue/pdfs/UK-CD_06_4206.pdf

Just got to figure out where to get it from now.

Not convinced that bumpers and strips were ever black on my car as they are all now the same charcoal grey colour.
Maybe I should go for the anthracite colour?

Any ideas where to source this from?

    Andy

I'm afraid I can't help with the sourcing of this stuff as I simply bought a tube off my bodyshop. They are the ones whom carry out the reworking of my bumpers tho I just bought a tube in case I ever wanna rework the finish in the future, sorry I can't be of more help in this respect mate

    Update

    Hi

Just letting people know I've sourced this stuff from a local window/conservatory manufacturer.

They can get me more, so if you want some let me know.

    Later

Agreed but I'm hoping the Wurth stuff will last longer as it is a dye. The Autoglym bumper care only lasts a week on mine before it disappears.

Got some and tried it out on Sunday.

I missed the first 10 mins of the match after a 4 hour sesh cleaning the wifes T5R, but wow........ what a difference !

1 hrs was spent cleaning the car, then 3 hrs applying the plastic die to the bumpers ...... the side strips ...... the roof bar covers ...... the mud flaps ...... and the door mirrors.

( I must admit though, an hour of that was spent cleanining the die off the paintwork, through trying to get in all the nooks and crannies. Oh .... and by the way, wear latex gloves, cause it took me another hour on top of that to get the die off my hands ).

It was worth it though. The results were bob on, and even the neighbours have been asking me what I used and where I got it from.

A tip though ...... put it on in light coats with the sponge they supply, but go over it a few times. If you don't, you'll end up with brush stroke like lines.

Thanks for that. How much of a tube did you use?

Collected mine today, thinking about removing the bumpers to do it... what do you reckon?

    ...... about 3/4 of a 75ml tube 'Redbrick'.

No need to remove the bumpers. You can squeeze and ouze it in under the bodywork, then rub the excess off after.
