Couple the Me7 or S60R manifold with a 3" downpipe and they are both much much better....on the same map(with rods done) before mani and downpipe i was hitting 1.3 bar...after mani and downpipe needle would go to 2 bar and got stuck..only extra bit was tims throttle body...... ungagging the 19T or any other turbo makes a huge difference....i have the s60r manifold very slightly ported but i dont think there's a massive difference to that and a ported me7 which you will save money on...

I'm going for an ME7 manifold too when I change my engine, maybe a S60r one should I find one cheap enough.

Get the Me7 one for £60 odd secondhand then get Tim to port it for £50 it will be just as good as the S60R, at half the price,

probably is the manifold cos when i had the throttle body changed(the only change at the time) i didn't notice an increase in boost. picked up much better in the 2-3k region though.

i have an ME7 manifold (also ported)as well but it would be stupid to comment on difference as i had the turbo changed at the same time.

someone i know did do the ME7 manifold as the only change though and he noticed the car going for the redline more eagerly. don't think he ported his though, can't remember.

    Niles,
Have a read of the IPD USA site about V70R/S60R manifold. Might be helpful to you and it does give a brand new price.

ok, I got the 16T (straight flange turbo) on its way to me. Just got to liberate the manifold now. lol. Then bolty bolt.....see if it was worth the hassle & money.
Will we see any improvement in flow & boost holding? We'll see...... to be continued.
