    Upsolute chip or VT

Its been on my mind for a while now. Am deciding to have a remap carrired out on my 2000 C70 T5 auto. Its standard and I wont be doing any heavy modifications. I'll probably might drop a panel filter in once remapped. Theres nearly a £300 difference in what each tuner offers. If i choose upsolute and save money, is the 30bhp loss (280bhp as to 310 bhp) really going to make a huge difference. Any comments appreciated.

    Upsolute of Rica

    Hi all,
I had my 96 854 done by Simon of Upsolute about 2 years ago and overall I have been very happy with it.

I went for Upsolute partly because of cost, distance away from Birmingham, but mainly for his home service, which meant I didn't have to take time off work.

I do however have one complaint and it is something that has been happening since it was done and that is, there is a noticeable flat spot in the upper rev range, when I am accelerating hard.

Its not outrageous, but it is irratating, particularly if you are pushing on and you end up third lane waiting for what feels like a fuel blockage, to clear.
( I have replaced the fuel filter, to no effect).

I spoke to Simon about it and he told me that he was aware of it happening on other cars and had taken it up with the Upsolute powers that be, to no effect.

It doesn't appear to be affected every car and its not something that has got me stamping my feet and screming for him to take it out, but you might wish to consider it when making your choice.

    Regards to all,
