    List your Mods

    Let us know what modifications you have done however large or small. It may be inspirational to others!

    Relocation of horns
    Drilled airbox
    Titan alloys
    Was MBC
    Now RICA
    Clear side repeaters
    Fog lights in my wardrobe ready to fit
    Boost gauge in my passenger footwell ready to fit

    My mods

    1 RICA Upgrade

    2 ITG Panal Filter



    In coming months i plan to upgrade my brakes , some charchole R style 17 wheels, strut brace, boost gauge and a road angel.

    The Mrs! when I sneeked of to get my rica done, although shes cool now she wont let me forget that one in a hurry, but I still say it was worth it even if I did end up in the spare room ! I did drop hints and try and tell her but the answer would have been no! .

    Good choice of plates. Hope santa manages to drop them down your chimney ok

    1 RICA Upgrade

    3 Strut Brace.

    In coming months i plan to upgrade my brakes , refurb and fit 17" titans I have in my cellar before my 16" p zeros run out of tread a boost gauge and a road angel

    2.5 lpt with rebuilt engine using s60r conrods and pistons and bigger turbo miltec exhaust full vt suspention kit polybushed and strutbrace dump valve and brake upgrade and wheels refurbed having custom remap in 3 to 4 weeks at vt i hope it goes well begging anyway

    My list is a little short. That may change later on this year, all going well...

    Volvo V40 2.0T
    MBC (boost at 12psi [for some reason won't go any higher])
    Pipercross induction
    Alessio 17" Alloys
    Boost/AFR gauges

    To come (possibly):

    Dump valve, 14T upgrade & remap, Eibach springs, strut brace, Jetex/BSR exhaust. And anything else anyone suggests.

    Firstly i would like to say that this sounds like a lovely car. Secondly, from the way you've worded your mods list it sounds like your not sure of some of your mods or their advantages. The reason you can't boost any higher than 12 psi is because your using a MBC. These do not connect in anyway to the vehicles electrics and therefore have no influence over any other the boost controls etc. So i expect your getting a DTC (diagnostic trouble code) light come on and the ECU then causes the car to hesitate and almost feel like it cuts out. This is normal and means you've reached the limits that your ECU will allow you to boost without causing damage. If you want to overcome this and gain big performance SAFELY then you have to ditch the MBC and have your car remapped.

    Thirdly...you shoulda fitted the exhaust before the MBC to notice a difference. You will get better throttle response, slightly more power and noticeably better sounding car.

    The next step for you should almost certainly be...Strut brace (makes a massive difference on FWD cars at reducing torque steer) and then exhaust.
