    Gear Knob change.

    Anyone changed one of these on a 70 ?
    Any tips/advice/methods ?

    Yeah it's easy. Detach gaiter from the bottom, lift it up over the gearknob. Small screwdriver and prise the two clips away slightly while pulling the gearknob, don't break them. Done.

    Found the two clips thing - no screws.

    He never said there were screws lol Just use a small screwdriver to prise the clips...

    Ok went down the hack saw root after 15 minutes frustration. Took me about 45 minutes. The secret with the gator is to use the screwdriver and then push down on mine which will reveal the gar knob mechanism. Use a screwdriver and then pop that off.

    Anyway new Heico gear knob fitted.
