hi guys, just would like to know how the T5's perform against other cars that are also in 300bhp mark. i.e. is it fast enough (once remapped) to have a good tearup with the old/new M3's?

I've had a run with an M3 when my car was putting out about 300bhp (I had more than just a remap)... on the straights there was nothing in it, on the corners the M3 put lengths on me!
The T5 has wonderful torque characteristics IMHO.

In a word, yes. But only on the straights, as Al said.Originally Posted by ammo1981

kool, interesting. Are we talking about the E46 M3's or the previous ones.
Both. You will easily beat an E36 M3, even the EVO. The E46 is a close match.Originally Posted by ammo1981

Basically, any diesel around the 300 bhp mark will beat you without trying, including cars like a tuned Audi A8 4.0 TDi, or a standard A8 4.2 TDI with 326 bhp and 630 Nm from the factory!!!
If you want to race and win, don't race the big diesels.

IMHO it depends how big your b---s are, most sensible peeps back off when high 3 figures are reached, so they will always loose regardless of the car lol. My mates BMW diesel should have been at Avon but it was nicked 2 weeks before, gutted or what.
