    ME7 question ..

    Hi folks ..

    Am i right in thinking that the electronic throttle (me7) is 1999 and after ?? ... would that be a "V" reg then ?

    Cheers guys .. sorry for the dumb question's ... im just trying to get to grips with it all lol ..

    Late 98 is when the ME7 first came in (SaffronC70 has one). I have also been to view one. Basically S reg onwards but you can tell by the colour of the background on the grill badge (BLUE is ME7) - though there are exceptions and obviously the lack of throttle body on the O/S end of the inlet manifold.

    Whats the draw backs having a C70 T5 without the ME7 ??

    Is the ME7less engine still a good one ???

    The advantages of the ME7 is that you get variable valve timing not available on the p1 engine and the internals are stronger.

    I dont think it really matters that much - personal pref. I think both are ace.
