    imobilser on t5

    hi ive just got a 850 t5 a 1995
    sometimes when i go to start the motor the key will turn to where all the dash lights come on and when i turn it a bit more to start nothing.
    could there be a problem with the transponder in the key my local volvo garage says it probaly the antenae for the key transponder in the ignition switch .
    has anyone had any similar probs like this

    i don't think 850's have a transponder (i only paid £10 for a replacement key which is to cheap for any gizmo's like that)

    1995 models have the transponder in them onwards.

    Chances are thats the issue, its not uncommon mate.

    BTW

    Have a new key cut, if that solves it, cool, if not its the reciever.
