    Recommended parts list - 850

How about the more technical / knowledgable / experienced of you list parts that you'd recommend for the rest of us?

Description, supplier/part number, cost, and quick comment (if needed).

    e.g.
Oil filler cap seal - V123456 - £1.23 - Cures leak from filler cap

Let's try and keep it for the less modified cars.

Start off with this 850 based thread, add new thread for other models.

It could be a useful shopping list for the less T5 experienced amongst us (me included).

    Fun in the twisties!

    Thanks Moppy.
Could also include a definitive "basic" starter list ~ plugs, air filter, etc as an initial guide maybe?

I'll give you a part alternative:
If you find that your boost pipe is past it's best and requires attention for example after I melted it when my exhaust came loose blowing direct heat down the bulk head of the car destroying wires and pipes in the process.
    The part you need
    Volvo replacement boost pipe - £86.00 + vat "I don't THINK SO!!!!!!"
    The replacement to get
Local hydralics shop E.g Blackwell Hydralics, Bangor North Wales:
Pipe was professionally measured and matched for quality - £0.60 / metre.
Just laid two brand new boost pipes with S/S connectors for £14.00

Is this the sort of thing you were thinking of Goof...?

    Current Garage:

    1997 855 T5 S - stripped to 1300kgs gross weight - 14.2sec qtr(rank 17*)
    2001 V40 T4 SE - 14.199@100.15MPH - Hybrid Turbo/VXR injectors and DeCat(Rank 15*)

Judgeninja - another bright idea! ~ maybe more for the other section that Bracer adds loads of stuff to?
I was thinking of us compiling a list of "regular" parts, i.e. oil, filters, plugs, pads, and other wear & tear items.
Trying really to get an idea of what folks have found to be the best items to buy ~ I wasn't aware that the ITG filter, and NGK plugs come highly recommended until Justin told me... you get the idea?

    Fun in the twisties!
