Forgive all the questions!
I keep hearing talk of 16 and 19T turbos. I assume this relates to the size of the compressor wheel?
Which turbo comes as standard on my car?
Thanks!

Used to have a 97R V70 R AWD
on the R it is 18T manual and 16T auto. but did here that they fitted a 19T to the AWD R. not sure what year it was though.

are they worth it???
You can get them from us. www.volvotuninguk.comOriginally Posted by Big-H
They are only worth it if you remap the ECU to make the most of it.
Adam.
ive been through your site many times however you dont show prices of turbo conversions.
im defienty gonna get my 310 rica upgraded through you but i also wanted to fit a nee 'charger and exhauset before the map.
its all beacuse you provide a real time map now.
i dont mean to offend
h
We don't show prices for most stuff because of the huge combination of options available, ie we prefer to see if we can do something that fits your criteria. For example, normally the full blown custom mapped stage 2 conversion costs over £2000, but you can also have some of the stage 2 items fitted and mapped for a lot less depending on the car and what you already have. So it all gets very confusing for many people who are browsing.Originally Posted by Big-H

cool, i can see what your saying.
a 19t has to be fitted on a larger downpipe doesnt it?
if it does i may aswell fit a performance exhaust at the same ime.. am i wrong?
Well, it depends on the car!!! lolOriginally Posted by Big-H
A 19T will bolt straight on with no other modifications on any T5 from 1999-2005 (except for oil and water feeds). But for the earlier cars it needs either a different downpipe or a modification to the turbo. And it's different still with the AWD models.
Or you can fit it with a larger downpipe, as you mentioned.
You see what I mean about how confusing it gets and why the prices vary!!!
