S60 Se Or S (EVERYBODY PLEASE HELP)

    hi folks
could someone shed some light on this for me,, ALSO if yours is the same.

ive got a volvo S60 d5 SE(SE in service book)on the logbook it says its a
S60 S ive got every toy the SE should have plus more, plus the auction where it came from had it down as a SE.ive not had a reply yet from volvo about this matter as ive emailed them to confirm my problem.
reason is ive sold the car as a SE and obviously the new owners not gonna be happy if it turns out to be a S as these are alot cheaper(but they dont have the toys if your with me)
my previous car was a s40 t4 SE that also said the same on the logbook that it was a S and that also had all the SE trim/toys.
i just abit worried about this can anybody sign a light on this has volvo's customer services are >>her, well ££££

It seems quite a common problem. I looked at a few S's before I got my SE. To be honest the specs were the same. All seemed to have leather, front fogs, upgraded stereos, even wood trim. Never checked the service books for models designation but were definately being advertised as S's

Go into a Volvo dealer and ask 'em to check on their computer. They may even be able to give you a print out of the original order.

My V70 isn't even an S, it's just a V70 T5 but the original owner specified Climate, Sunroof and various other bits when they ordered it.

    regards

It is possible, because everycar is fully customizable it could be a VERY highly spec'd S model made to look like an SE? More likely just a mistake with the log book.

I take it you have the climate control, 17" wheels, full leather interior, fog lights e.t.c.

YEP its got it all even, factory reverse sensors and se on service book it all adds up to se so why dont volvo put se on logbook as surly ticking all the options from new, would equal se when registering it as ive seen loads of S's and they dont have full leather climate or 17 in teethys
    this is bloody annoying me

It'll more likely be a data entry error with DVLA.

Unless you are in the trade - if advertise and subsequently sell a vehicle with wrong specification, it is upto the buyer/seller to agree any compensation eg reduction in price. If the seller refuses, the buyer has no recourse unless initiates legal proceedings - "buyer beware".

Most people on this forum would not knowingly misdescribe an item. Likewise, the buyer shares an equal degree of responsibility.

To be fair, a number of S60 could easily pass as S60SE.

    GL420CDi - "monster truck with 7 seats" . S60 SE EUIV DIESEL - Commuting .
Honda CBR1000 aka Fireblade - "mid life crisis"

Its a Data Entry on the log book.

Ring Volvo as Andy says and they'll confirm it for you.

If it is an SE (which im sure it will be) then send the log book away to change it.

As mentioned call a dealer with your reg number, speak to the service department and ask them to check on the system what it is.

We have shed loads of mildly incorrect log books at work and also mentioned thats purely down to data entry at the DVLA.

Agreed, when I was raking through the brochure you could basically start with an S and end up with same specs as an SE plus more.

Mines the SE but has a lot more options on it, think the only thing it is missing is the family pack and Xeonon headlights.

Taking an S and making it into an SE is pointless as it would cost almost a grand more and be worth a grand less at the end of the day, so such cars are extremely rare to say the least!
