    Smile New steering wheel

Got my replacement steering wheel today, has anyone done this little job before? got any tips? I obviously need to remove the airbag first, looks like two torx screws from the back. Anything I need to do for safety as I guess its possible to set the thing off if not careful.

Steve took the airbag off Wobbly's C70. Disconnect the battery first, undo 2 torx screws to take off the cover, take out airbag and connector, undo the single nut in the middle - jobbie done!

Is this a new Volvo steering wheel, if so how much, as I could do with one for my S70.

    Hi John

No. not new, as about £320 at your local main stealer. Got mine from CP Motors in Tamworth. £ 97 delivered.

    http://www.cpmotors-volvo.co.uk/ via the Parts Gateway.

    http://www.partsgateway.co.uk/.

They send a request to about six breakers/specialists

They recondition the wheel by 're-connolising'. I'm not sure what the process involves, but the wheel is fantastic. You have to look very closely to see its not new. I'm very pleased with it, its superb compared to the old one. I'd recommend their work. I have also noticed they have a similar item on Ebay at present: Item number: 4610118169

Maybe it will go for a bit less than I paid as no 'buy it now price'
