the search engine is your friend......there are loads of threads on this subject..
Turn ignition key to position 1
Press & hold button A for trip meter
    Switch ignition on
Keep button depressed for 10 sec
    Service indicator will flash
    Release button within 5 sec
    A audible signal when reset
    Scrappage.....love it!!

Or... If you don't have a trip computer use this method:

    1. Turn the ignition key to position I

    2. Ensure that the trip display is on T1 and shows some miles (not zero).

    3. Press and hold the T1 reset button and wait for the odometer to set to zero.

    4. Turn the ignition key to position II, and watch the odometer.

    5. When the previously displayed miles reappears, release the trip reset button.

Will this work on my 98 V70R.....

Service light came on this morning.....But had a service a few K ago with new
Belts etc, and had Oil & filter change last Thursday.

In the Handbook it says that they are Pre-set at Volvos when made and could come on due to Milage, Time & Date, or when last Serviced....!

    Will give it ago....Nice one.
