Best colour for a V70 II

    Guys,
what do you think the best colour for the new style V70 is?

In the previous incarnation, my favourite colours were laser blue, silver & Saffron, oh and black was nice too

I can't decide what is the best colour for the current shape - The red (Garnet) is pretty nice, not too sure about the dark blue, but I do like the silver - I've seen the R in Flash green - did they make a T5 in this colour?

Also, say I wanted to purchase said new style T5, fit the replica R alloys, and maybe even a new style R bumper.

Any idea on the cost of a new bumper from Volvo, I'm expecting around 4 figures, or are there decent aftermarket options?

The alloys & tyres, I take to cost around the £1000 mark all in - is that right?

    Cheers

    Dan

What Dave said although which dark blue?

Barentz blue is lovely - like a grey ish dark (but not dark like Nautic blue) - quite rare though which is a problem for second hand bits.

    Thanks guys,
nautic blue is the colour of t5 that my others halfs dad owns - it's ok, but not my cup of tea.

Willhave to hunt out that other blue colour you mention - is it almost sky blue?

Does anyone know about that Flash green colour, or was it exclusive to the R's?

It isn't shy blue no, it's difficult to describe. If I can get a pic over the weekend I'll post it up but pics don't really do it justice.

Thanks for that website - interesting - seems that various blues have come and gone over the years.

Titanium/graphite hadn't even occurred to me - now I think about it a nice graphite grey one with anthracite wheels would look spot on - or even a black one with anthracite wheels would do the job.

Will have to have a squiz at a silver one and a red one in the metal though, in case they take my fancy more.

Does anyone know about the R front bumper??

    Cheers

Like I say, pics don't do it justice - it's just a bit different that's all.

I have to say though, black does look fantastic. Just been out for a smoke - there's one over the road in black.

    Smile Best Colour for V70

    Hi
I'm new to the forum so hello. I have a 03' V70 D5 SE with sports suspension and 18" Nebula wheels in Titanium Grey. I happen to think that it is one of the best colours for the car. Not to dark so as to make it look like a funeral car and not to light that makes it stand out. The grey stays clean and the rubbing strips look like they are colour coded. I'd go for the grey. I think it will look everybit as good in 10 years as it does now.
    All the best

    Thumbs up

yup, Titanium Grey alright. (Although I am biased of course).

When I was looking to change mine for a D5, a number of dealers did say that the grey was one of the more sought after colours.
I've seen a few V70s in the same colour as mine, and they look great. (Like to see some pics of yours Struggs, I've not seen any V70's with the Nebulas).

It's neither light or dark really. When it's clean and polished up it reflects light really well being a pearl colour.

Second choice would be black thought

I agree. I looked at a black V70 before choosing the Titaniun Grey. It did look really cool and black will never go out of fashion! However, they are a bitch to keep clean and show scratches (IMO). I love my car but don't want to 'Have' to wash it all the time. I'll shoot some pix today and post them (if I can figure out how to do it)
