'Correct, if the light is on it indicates a fault and therefore will (should) fail'
unless it's wired to the oil light which indicates that there is a fault and the light then goes out, tester writes pass certificate.... bye, bye ;-)

Tell me more - just in case my ABS/TRACS is intermittent and I may have the MOT looming. Rest assured, I am planning on getting it "Wobbled".

Weasel-Then you lock up in the rain and crash ! Who's foolin' who !
Mine just failed on both the front flexible brake hoses being perished and cracked. Ended up having to hack-saw the brake unions off as the threads had seized. A common problem apparently as the connection contains two different metals or something. Not a job I would recommend to anyone as the solid pipe had to be bent and re-flared before attaching the new hoses - all with brake fluid running down your sleeve. They should last another 10 years though so glad it's out of the way. Can't believe no one else has had these fail as I was told they only really have a life of about 10 years?
I replaced the flexi's on mine a while ago because they were showing signs of cracking. Upgraded to stainless which were actually cheaper than a set of rubber ones. The rear ones are a pig ! Especially the one that fits into the plastic bracket on top of one of the rear arms (the bracket of course snaps off !)
