    C70 Problems with Roof

    Hi There
I live in Dublin - Ireland and am [was] the proud owner of a C70 convertible. The roof is now giving me problems and wont close properly. The local dealer is saying that the sensors are out of sync - the being quoted to me costs to fix this are very high.

Can anyone give me any advise as regards the best way to fix this. Do you know of any garages in Northern Ireland or Ireland who could fix this ?

    Thanks,

I've read about this before, The sensors give up and from what I read was the roof needs removed which is where the high cost to repair comes from, Dont know if theres an easy fix but good luck....

Isn't there a manual windy-crank thing in the boot you can use? Have you tried fully opening the roof and then fully closing it with that? Maybe it'll reset things?

(Of course, I've not tried using it on mine yet).

I don't envy you the job, though. You'll be winding that little handle for hours. I guess you could attach an electric screwdriver with the right size allen-key bit.
