    Question Santa Pod?

Is anybody arranging a day to Santa Pod this year?
Have always wanted to go (If finances permit at the time) sounds great fun and have something to prove with shadquattro!

There will be probably half a dozen 1/4 mile meets arranged throughout the year between Santa Pod and Avon Park.

Its a bit early to start arranging tho just yet

Would be up for this, bit of a meet and chance to run if feeling brave. Been to the pod loads for various shows and the European championships etc but never actually run it. The thought of a sub 15 1/4 mile is quite something

Don't hold the car on the clutch at the start until it gives up the ghost! One of our number ran a 40 second 1/4 mile last year after a bit too long with the clutch at the biting point waiting for the off... and then I did the same thing myself at some traffic lights.

Late staging is good staging LOL

My felicity, may her subframe rest in piece, managed a 14.1 at Avon Park.

Uuummmmm.... go at the right time or you will look like an arse. I looked like an arse three times.

I've even got Spesh on video tape saying 'someone tell him to go on the green light'.

lol Yeah I've got lightning reflexes. So lightning I anticipated it going green slightly early.

The two times I got I waited until the light was green for a few secs and then I went.

Didn't matter as the time was taken from when I started moving (I hope).

The majority run what is called a Sportsman's Tree. This means you are only timed from when your wheels leave the line. Reaction time is not taken into account.

I believe that a less than .4 sec reaction time in drag racing is considered a foul start and you'd get a red light (on a competition tree at least).

The lights are great for racing yer mates although I found that to get a good time it was better to let your opponent go and concentrate on your own run.
