Looks like good fun to me!
Good fun until you get hurt.
I had to sell my stockcar after a series of large crashes including 2 broken ribbs(AT DIFFERENT RACE MEETINGS) and a spinal injury, which finaly finished off my racing days.
Still great to watch the bangers though.

Are those Legend based cars?
Hi mate.
No, they are based on a 5/8 scale Ford popular,
with 850cc Reliant engine with a modified 2 speed gearbox.
Made in the u.k (Tamworth).
Full contact allowed.
Race only on small ovals. (1/4 mile)
Where as the Legends are 5/8 scale based on 1920's and 30's US cars
with 1200cc motorbike engines.
Non contact(most of the time).
Imported from US.
Race on small, large ovals and some circuits.
PIC 1 REBEL RACER.
PIC 2 LEGEND.

Gotchya. Can see the difference now. Hadn't seen one of these Rebels before, but I've been at the same meeting as the Legends a few times. Thought it was related.
Is that your car that you race on your avatar, what is it, a nova?
Have you raced in anything else?
I also used to race karts.
Do you know of anyone else on here that does any racing?

> Is that your car that you race on your avatar, what is it, a nova?
Yup. That's the fun machine. It's a 1.6GSi in Road Saloon spec, so it get's driven to (and usually from) races. Named "Pongo" inevitably.
> Have you raced in anything else?
Had a couple of Astras and borrowed a Fiesta once. Got started in Road Saloons back in '97 and got hooked big time. Never had the dosh for anything more serious, but I get so much fun out of what I've got that not owning a supertourer doesn't bother me!
In the LMA Eurosaloons now after the Road Saloon series got incorporated into it.
Original photo the avatar came from attached.

That's heroic! Been at Cadwell and Oulton with some of the kart guys and they are completely hatstand. Seen two of them diving into a corner side by side with the guy on the outside holding one of his fingers up infront of the other guys helmet. Had about 50 spectators rolling about in hysterics.

There's a record holding motorbike engined beastie lives down at VT. Think it's Hamish who races it. Hamish?

There's Hamish from VT. I think he races under HLM racing or something..
Teamsideways - He races an Austin Maestro...
And we did have an 850 Rally car but I can't remember who it was...

An early 240 estate after a tough night on the Skegness shale back in the mid nineties....
