    Help 850 T5 R

    Hi i need some help.
    I have seen a 850 T5 R for sale on a N plate. (saloon)
From the pictures that i have seen it looks like a normal T5.
Did early T5 R's not have the front spoiler with the lip or R alloys?
This has perfo/colomba alloys on it and the normal T5 bumper.
Also he wants ?3000. is this too much?
Dont know how many miles yet.
    Thanks.

Some Rs for whatever reason do have the ordinary front bumper and rims, if the original buyer asked for them. The other features on the R to look for:
    1) Suede & leather interior - on the T5R, the suede is in the door panel inserts, the bottom segment of the steering wheel (if memory serves) and on the outside of the seat bolster on the seats. The center section of the seat is still leather. On the R, the suede is on the center piece, with the outer bolsters in leather.
    2) The engine code. An 850 turbo has the engine code B5234FT (it's on the side of the timing cover), the T5R has the engine code B5234T5. The B5234T5 is also on automatic equipped 850Rs, while the manual Rs had the B5234T4 powerplant.

If you're still in doubt, PM me with the vehicle VIN and I'll see what I can do.

It should have the lip spioler, 5 spoke Titan wheels (straight spoke, no curvy bits) but they could have been replaced Also...check the filler cap for the petrol, the tyre pressure guide stuck inside should show what it is....ie...854 t5-r will be printed on the sticker...electric memory seats electric sunroof...tracs....
The plate is right for the year....
Have to go to Croydon on Tuesday...if u want I could meet you and have a look?....PM me if u want....

I went and had a look tonight.
It looks like a standard T5.
No front spoiler, no R alloys, no alcantera seats.
    140,000 miles on clock.
    Screen price ?3,495.00.
Decided to give this one a miss and look somewhere else.
    Thanks.
