V70R (P2) Rear springs - no longer made / stocked by Volvo globally!!!

    Hi all,

I have a V70R that gas the same springs as new (they are obviously lower than all the other V70's of the P2 as std.

But years of us mean lower now (and likely lost some of springyness), and while you can adjust the front camber / tow to compensate, there is not much you can do on the rear (camber wise), they are burning out tyre every 6 months now as cannot get wheel to stand up anymore than 2 deg's.

I have ordered new fronts, but Volvo no longer stock the rears (in the US or UK or Europe). So what are all V70R (not sure if same on S60R) owners going to do? I did order a set from a scandacar site in Holland only 7 weeks later to be told Volvo no longer supply (tought I'd found the last set in the world!!!).

Maybe an the P2 V70XC ones could be cut down (as need the poundage and not just the right length). Take out mine and chop base of new XC set to a bit longer that the ones coming out?

    These are the ones.

There are some companies that will make the spring for you as long as you have the old one as a pattern.
1996 Olive Green 850 AWD - Follow the Project - Forged rods, 19T, big blue injectors, 960 TB, 3.25" MAF, Ostrich, 608 binary, arduino data display, active exhaust control with Focus RS tips, 320mm front brake conversion.
1996 Nautic Blue 850 AWD - Failed its MOT, now it's a donor for the green thing.
2004 Sapphire Black S60 D5 - The new daily hack.
