T5 Gearbox Oil - advice sought

Just about to replace drive shaft oil seals and refill the box with new oil. I was planning to pop down to Volvo and just buy Volvo stuff - is that the optimal course of action or would anybody recommend something different? This in my T5, M56H box, nothing fancy. Engine is mildly tuned, again nothing fancy, to be used for road use and the odd track day.

There's plenty of marketing material for different oil brands out there, and if I believed it all I would have 5 different oils....
    Thanks for any tips. W:-)

Try messaging opie oils. Their staff are knowledgeable and helpful. It ultimately depends on the viscosity eg 75w80 or 75w90 are most common. Hence I swear by Redline MTL or Redline MT90. Just be sure to check the OE oil is GL4 or GL5.

Thanks, I have "e-spoken" with Opie's team - absolutely great in terms of their response - just hope they're right!. They've recommended two alternative oils for Lusty's gearbox, one was out of stock so I ordered the other, plus oils for the g/b and rear axle of a 105E Anglia I'm doing in parallel. Redline was one of the recommendations! Also one of the one's I had identified by my own web "research".

Pricing seemed pretty good compared with local indies, and my order should now be winging its proverbial way. Thank you for the advice.

I have also used Opie for advice. Got to refill the D5 gearbox after I had to pull the driveshafts when I did the ball joints (don't ask)
