Hi All,

Recently picked myself up a euro4 D5, manual. Doing a few little bits of fettling to get it right, then looking at a remap and exhaust. Really like the 5 cylinder sound and want it to be a bit more noisy.

Being a euro4, it will have a DPF. Will a catback where I keep the DPF, and get rid of the rear silencer make much difference?

I am debating getting rid of the DPF, as it would remove and potential issues. However my commute is 20mins on a motorway, and I do a fair chunk of motorway driving so doubt it will ever clog up really. Also I know there is just a visual inspection on an MOT, but has anybody struggled to get their cars through after deleting it? With the crusade against emissions nowadays, I wonder if they will start to properly test for DPFs in future?

Owning this car is a long term prospect, so don't want a headache further down the line!
