    Nice Box

    2002 V70 T5 Manual

My car is fitted with an aftermarket K&N cone filter installed by the previous owner. Whilst it makes some amusing noises, I fancy re-fitting an airbox. The car has been remapped, but my experience with previous tuned cars suggests that airboxes with decent filters are a better idea.

This is my first Volvo, so I'm still learning. So, the question is, do i need a T5 specific airbox, or will any mk2 V70 one do? The original cold air spout is still in the car feeding the current filter setup.

    Thanks

The turbo air boxes usually have the pipe go down the back of the engine to the turbo whereas the non turbo models have the air intake go to the manifold on the front of the engine. This usually means the airbox cover has a different angle output for turbo and non turbo. So maybe just scour ebay for a turbo airbox (maybe try engine sizes like 2.3 or 2.5T)
