    Clutch hydraulic pipe

    Hi guys. I was unfortunate enough to have the clutch hydraulic hose on my 850R let go on me yesterday whilst driving round Sainsbury's car park trying to find a space (I was 25 miles from home, had already queued for an hour getting into the City centre then lost the clutch, couldn't find a space whilst lurching around the car park starting and stopping the car in gear so had to come home much the same way and swap cars !). Skandix list a clutch pipe but it's unclear whether there is a difference between left or right hand drive. Anybody know if they are the same or know of a UK supplier ?
    Old Car: 855 T5 in Grey and rust (dead and gone, well, most of it !
    Missus' ride: Citroen C4 coupe 1.6 HDi,
    Modifications: Nowt.....yet !
    Daily driver: 855 R in Black,
    Currently nursing a blown head gasket, new engine on its way !
    Recent addition: Freshly imported Honda Stepwagon,

    Thanks for that Lee. I couldn't get my Volvo parts catalogue software to work on my laptop anymore to get a part number but using that site gives me a part number of 9143414 (which they don't seem to have stock of). If I search against that part number it's linked to part number 9181437 which is the one listed on Skandix. Only problem seems to be that this one has a push fit connection into the clutch master where mine has a screw union (it does mention this on the listing and says you have to update the clutch master to fit). What I may have to do is cut and shut the metal pipe using a compression fitting. I've done it before on my old 850 T5 when I fitted a later gearbox with concentric slave and it never gave any issues.

    Why not just upgrade to the modified Clutch master cylinder?
    They're not expensive, then the pipe will fit.
    Saves mucking about and makes it future proof.

    I may do, will have a look into the cost of it, it's time that I'm short of more than anything !

    Well the clutch pipe turned up today and..........it is for a left hooker ! It's far too short so that kind of decided how I had to fit it. I cut both the pipes and joined them under the air box with a 6mm pipe joiner and so far,so good. I was a bit annoyed to see that the old flexi had actually failed due to abrading against a wiring loom conduit which means it could have been avoided. Needless to say the new one has been re-routed slightly.

    Its a shame we're having to start bodging things for our old buses.
