    My C70 T5a.

So I've owned this car since Feb'12 and she is simply the best car that I've ever owned.
Just replaced the front discs and pads with genuine Volvo 302 stuff, and today replaced the plugs with the Iridium gear.
The plug change sorted my misfire and one plug was actually broken.
However, I now have no cigarette lighters working, I've replaced the fuse which was blown, so now I'm thinking of changing the wiring loom in the centre console.
Is this what you would do plz peeps or am I missing something?

Might want to try cleaning up the contact at the bottom of the cigarette lighters (if they're not frequently used), also checking you have the correct fuse. Glad you're still enjoying the car.

    Thanks for the reply.

I think that it was fuse 30 and 15amp, but my handbook is for a pre ME7 car, and mine is ME7 if that makes any difference?

They are just used for the sat nav etc. but I will try a quick clean, although both going at the same time seems a little odd.

OK, so the issue is fixed.

My eye sight isn't what it was, and I had changed the wrong fuse but the one that I changed was blown anyway so something else must not have been working.

Somehow, a 5p piece had also found it's way into the front lighter socket as well!! Happy!!

I seem to have an intermittent reversing light now, but I need someone to reverse the car whilst I watch, or go and find a good reflection somewhere.

Dodgy reverse switch, just on top of the box if manual, easy swap and fix

You may be able to remove it and then work in some contact cleaner to get it reliable again, or just swap it for another if you have one knocking about

Hi there, absolutely talking about Victor and the car has never left me since the date that I bought it from you. I did part with the 19's after a while and went to 17's. Awesome car!! What are you driving now?

Here she is, with a few changes since she left you. One of the rear BC's broke so she ended up on Nivos, but BC's still on the front. Black projectors that I had spare, egg crate grille and I think that's about it. Oh, and private reg ending in FUN.

Still a beautiful car that buddy. And is still by a mile the best car I have owned. Glad it is still gleaming and well looked after!!

I flick between a 1979 Scimitar and Discovery 2 now buddy, which I take off roading. Is by far the worst car I have owned however - just keeps throwing up problems. The Scimitar, I have only ever ran out of petrol in - bulletproof, apart from the fuel gauge.

I keep looking at T5's however - but most look shagged.

Maybe my calling is back with a T5.

Take it easy buddy - never sell it!

Thank, she does need a very good polish though and she is now 20 years old!!

I will run her until something drastic goes wrong with her, but she does need several rust spots sorting...….both rear arches, a front wing and the sills are starting to show signs of bubbling again. I had them sorted 3 years ago and they might be OK for another year or 2.

You take it easy too, and it's been great to catch up with you!!
