C70 G Tronic Over Revving Issue

    Hi
my car is a 2007 C70 convertible D5 G Tronic WITH 81K and full history.
My issue is during a 600 mile round trip in 2 days the other weekend i noticed what i can only describe as a clutch slip(i dony know if g tronics are semi or full auto).
All gears select smoothly, no clonks or bangs it's just when i put it under load when i put my foot down it's all revs and not much go. After about 1.5 secs the revs drop and then the full torque of the engine kicks in.So i tried it in manual mode was in 4 th gear put my foot down to overtake, again high revs not much go then krevs drop(i'm still in 4th) and off i go.
The car has had a gearbox oil change about a year ago i'm assuming the correct oil was used . So i'm wandering has anyone else had a similar issue.
    Thanks In Advance

    Stef

    What does that mean
    Full rebuild?
    Torque convertor?

It means take the car to a gearbox specialist for a confirmed diagnosis and in the mean time, avoid wide open throttle and high load conditions or better still, don't drive it.

After taking my car to my local garage he suggested oil and filter change before anything.
Hey presto now after the change of oil and filter the problem has gone. It changes smoothly and no over revving under load.
Well happy with that, difficult to fault the car now, all the toys work drives nicely and cruises at 80mph.

    Thanks
